I totally forgot that I had not posted a picture with this pattern. I apologize for not posting one sooner. I got my yarn in the mail today so NEW PLAN! I made a little peach, I love her, her name is Georgia. I will put a picture up soon (promise) I have the pattern for it though:You will need size 8 dpns.peach colored yarngreen yarnyarn needlepuffy paint/yarn for embroideryCO6, divide onto 3 needlesKKFB allKK1, KFB aroundKK2, KFB, aroundKK3, KFB aroundKK4 KFB aroundK 6 rowsK4, K2tog aroundKK3, K2tog aroundKK2, K2tog around, stuff and embroider if you are doing soKK1, K2tog aroundKK2tog aroundcut yarn, pull through remaing sts. and through the center to the bottom end. Tug a little on the yarn to make a little dimple in the top and knot. Make a little stem with your green yarn. Use the I cord technique, and make a leaf with the leaf pattern from the pear/ apple pattern and sew into the little dimple. Paint a face on her if using puff paint. ENJOY!love, PEACHcake

I have been very lucky to have this extended stay alone in Arizona.  Although I miss Jim and the doggies terribly, I am sorry to see it end.  I have seen so many beautiful days, beautiful things, beautiful yarn, beautiful people and beautiful healthy food.  I won’t let myself get too sad though since we come back for shorter stays in April and May.1   I can’t wait until the day we are able to move here!

Here's Jonesy in his new Land & Sea gansey sweater!Life has been good here in Chacala. We spent the afternoon yesterday on the beach with all the other cruisers in the bay - a total of 9 gringos. We sat at a large table under the thatched roof and socialized, exchanged books, knit (ok, just me), and chatted for hours.Before we went back to the boat, Jonesy and I took a walk along the beach to work off those chips, salsa, guacamole and beverages. The little village of Chacala is getting ready for the huge onslaught of vacationers who will invade during the 2 week stretch of Semana Santa. Folks are building little stalls along the beach and roads to sell food and other treats.Semana Santa is the week before and after Easter Sunday when everyone in Mexico goes to the beach.
